Plate Bearing Tests

We have been carrying out plate bearing tests on numerous sites to assist the design of temporary support for mobile crane bases, piling platforms and for new pavement. We operate a UKAS accredited load cell for the testing and plates sizes ranging between 150mm and 600mm.

The results provide a direct measure of the modulus of subgrade reaction and enable us to calculate the CBR value of the tested ground. Results are usually provided within a day of completing the tests.
